A musical comedy by Eric Idle, John Du Prez and Neil Innes

Directed by Lisa Blair

Monty Python's Spamalot, the high-flying extravaganza of stage madness and melody is "lovingly ripped off from" the film Monty Python and the Holy Grail. The show retells the legend of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table on an epic quest to find the Holy Grail and features beautiful show girls, witch burnings (cancelled, too expensive), not to mention cows, killer rabbits, and French people. The unhinged plot of this medieval entertainment, mixed with contemporary issues, unleashes rapturous audience glee. In Spamalot, you'll laugh a lot. But Spamalot is not just for Python fans... It's a journey filled with lunatic obstacles spoofs of many other musicals and is jam-packed with silly songs to match the action. It's all singing, all dancing silliness!

Spamalot, an extravagant stage spectacle, takes its cue from Monty Python's cult film The Knights of the Coconut. It tells the saga of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table in search of the Holy Grail. There are beautiful showgirls, witch burnings (oh no, deleted, too expensive), cows, killer rabbits and Frenchmen. The quirky storyline of this medieval entertainment, enriched with contemporary references, unleashes gales of enthusiasm and much laughter. Spamalot isn't just made for Monty Python fans, though; rather, it's a journey full of wacky twists, satirizing detours into other musicals, and a mix of action and snappy songs - one singing, dancing, entertaining absurdity.
