1978, more than 40 years ago, Mothers Finest opened the live broadcast of the 2nd WDR Rockpalast show. A legendary concert that abruptly made the US-American band famous all over Europe and changed the music world permanently. A hitherto unheard-of mixture of hard rock, funk and soul.
This breathtaking performance is to be celebrated, and the inventors of funk rock are going on an anniversary tour in 2019. And they promise an "enormous board" today too, but open up musically to metal, blues and soul. Outstanding lead singers Glenn Murdock and Joyce Kennedy are backed by the original lineup of fantastic guitarists Gary Moore and John Hayes, as well as mega-bassist Jerry "Wyzard" Seay and powerhouse Dion Murdock on drums.
