The four-piece band from Brighton surprise with an unusual line-up featuring four-part vocals, cello and bassoon alongside the typical rock band instrumentation of guitar, synthesiser, bass and drums.
On their album, the band dedicates itself to the wonderful and sometimes surreal variety of creatures on our planet.
Stylistically, the Moulettes do not fit into just one pigeonhole by any means. The group has its roots in alternative folk-rock, which it cleverly enriches with elements of progessive and psychedelic rock. Over all floats dreamlike the often polyphonic sentence vocals, which give their complex songs a fine pinch of pop.
