Attendance exhibition aboard the MS Wissenschaft in Frankfurt am Main: Artificial intelligence to discover and try out
The exhibition ship MS Wissenschaft will be docking in Frankfurt am Main on its tour of 27 cities in Germany from 19. To 22 September 2019 in Frankfurt am Main. On the 100-meter-long inland cargo ship, exhibits directly from research will provide insights into the practical development and application of artificial intelligence. Admission is free.
What exactly is artificial intelligence (AI)? How do humans learn - and how do machines learn? Where does AI bring benefits to people and what are the risks? The hands-on exhibition shows that AI technologies are already part of our everyday lives, for example in medicine, in traffic or when we use our smartphones.
On the MS Wissenschaft, guests can explore and try out AI for themselves, for example in a simulated ride in an autonomous car or playing handball against a virtual goalkeeper. In a quiz, AI professionals and AI novices can test and expand their knowledge of artificial intelligence. Elsewhere, guests help train an AI. Chess players compete with the historical computer KC85. Music enthusiasts can make music together with AI and grapple with the question of whether there is real creativity involved, and art enthusiasts can let an "intelligent" mirror transform them into an impressionistic work of art.
On September 19, there will be a Dialogue on Deck starting at 6:30 p.m., and on September 20, the WG 5 "Work and Art" will invite guests to join in. September, the WG 5 "Work, Education and Training" of the i4.0 platform invites you to the social partner dialogue on the topic of "Artificial Intelligence and the Future of Work" from 4 pm.
The exhibition ship MS Wissenschaft is touring Germany in the Science Year 2019 - Artificial Intelligence on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research. Admission is free. The exhibition is recommended from twelve years.
