The interaction of text and music is illuminated in a new and different way in the new series at the Romanfabrik - following on from the previous one ("Von der musikalischen Kraft der Sprache"). In the juxtaposition of text recitation and musical performance, the change of medium can be experienced directly and opens up spaces for individual experiences and interpretations. In five events, this transfer between media will be addressed using different examples from music and literature.
The Mutare Ensemble will perform the last concert within this series. To be heard are: Richard Wagner (1813-1883) -
Isoldes Verklärung from Tristan und Isolde arr. for string sextet by G. Müller-Hornbach, Arnold Schoenberg (1874-1951) -
Verklärte Nacht, string sextet, op. 4, Sextet for two violins, two violas and two cellos, and Gerhard Müller-Hornbach (b. 1951) -
Mild and Quiet for recorder and accordion.
Actor and speaker Jochen Nix reads texts by Richard Wagner, Ingeborg Bachmann and Richard Dehmel.
