New venue for Gang durch den Advent with Michaela May and the Konzertchor Darmstadt in Heidelberg
The traditional concert"Gang durch den Advent 2019"will take place this year on Saturday, 07. December 2019, at 7:30 pm in the Alten Aula der Universität, Grabengasse 1 (Universitätsplatz), 69117 Heidelberg. Due to an organizational misunderstanding, the previously announced Peterskirche is not available, so the concert will be moved to the Alte Aula of the University. Concert-goers will find this new venue easily accessible, as it is only a few metres from St Peter's Church.
For the two concerts "Gang durch den Advent" (another date will take place on Sunday, 08 December 2019, 5 pm in the Pauluskirche in Darmstadt), the renowned actress Michaela May, known from many film, television and theater productions (including.Polizeiruf 110", "Monaco Franze", "Kir Royal", "Hans im Glück", "Irgendwo und Sowieso") as narrator. Last week, she was awarded the "Jury Prize of Honour" at the Bambi Awards together with her fellow actresses Uschi Glas and Gaby Dohm. Many other awards, including the Bavarian Order of Merit, show the great recognition and appreciation of her work.
In alternation with the Concert Choir Darmstadt, the saxophonist Regina Reiter, an instrumental ensemble (Da Ponte String Quartet) and the organist Jan Wilke under the direction of Wolfgang Seeliger, Michaela May leads through the program with cheerful and contemplative texts around Advent and Christmas. The audience can look forward to a contemplative and inspiring Advent evening.
