Nick Murphy fka Chet Faker is coming to Germany for three shows in October! In early March, Nick Murphy announced his long-awaited sophomore album, Run Fast Sleep Naked, will be released on April 26 via Future Classic. The Dave Harrington-produced effort follows his highly acclaimed 2014 debut "Built on Glass" (released as Chet Faker).
Five years have passed since the release of "Built On Glass". The debut album that reached platinum status, won seven ARIA Music Awards including "Best Male Artist" as well as "Producer of the Year" and was the impetus for a never-ending string of sold-out concerts on five continents, appearances at major festivals like Coachella and Glastonbury, international TV appearances (The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Jimmy Kimmel), music videos with hundreds of millions of views, including, for example, 180 million clicks for his MTV VMA nominated video for "Gold". Now, with "Run Fast Sleep Naked," the singer, producer and multi-instrumentalist opens another chapter in his musical career.
The new material was recorded in Brooklyn, New York. Murphy worked with over 15 musicians as well as a full orchestra to create the album's special sound, creating more depth in his songs. Murphy plays with a spectrum of sounds and melodies, weaving them tightly yet exuding a warm lightness that makes the Australian's soundscape so special.
