Pop anthems by Nik Kershaw, which belong to the standard repertoire of every radio station. Nik signed to MCA Records in 1983 and stormed the charts the following year with "I Won't Let The Sun Go Down". The son of an architect and an opera singer, his songs and sound struck a chord and he made his international breakthrough with "Wouldn't It Be good" in 1984. His debut album, Human Racing, achieved platinum status. Successful tours and more hits like "The Riddle" followed. In 1985 Nik performed at the "Live Aid" concert organised by Bob Geldof and Midge Ure, among others. After a few more albums he decided to leave the limelight in 1989 and worked in the background as a song-writer and producer. The killer hit "The One & Only", for example, was written by him for Chesney Hawkes. Nik has worked with artists such as Cliff Richard, Bonnie Tyler, Ronan Keating, Jason Donovan, Nick Carter, Michael W Smith, Connah Reeves, Colin Blunstone, Petula Clark, Gary Barlow, The Hollies, Elton John or Tony Banks (Genesis). Nik has been praised time and again by legends such as Eric Clapton, Miles Davis or Elton John as one of the best songwriters of his generation. Nik was nominated for 4 Brit Awards. In addition to various film and TV projects for which he writes and produces music, he continues to release albums under his own name. His current album from 2012 is called "Eight". Of course Nik is always drawn back to the stage to feel that unique energy of live concerts and play his old as well as current songs for all his fans worldwide.
