Without Compromise! This is the motto French-Canadian choreographer Dave St-Pierre has followed since the beginning of his career in the 2000s. With his visually powerful and physically intense pieces, he has quickly established himself as one of the most idiosyncratic voices on the international dance scene. After numerous group choreographies and forays into the theatre world, including at Schauspiel Frankfurt for an acclaimed production of Macbeth, St. Pierre returns to the stage as a dancer himself with a solo. "Néant" ("Nothing") is breathtaking in the literal sense. The danced self-portrait is a declaration of love for air - an elixir of life that, once missing, leads man to a state of vertigo and a dark abyss.
