While all the "real bands" in town went on tour, or their members preferred to invest their energy in countless side projects instead of playing concerts and the rehearsal rooms remained empty, Valer, Nir, Gutzy and Sima made it their mission to entertain the remaining bored punks in town with a summer project.
A few songs were quickly written together, then small shows were organized, all with the firm intention of disbanding the band after the summer. Seven years, five international tours and four records later, it's clear that this plan never worked out and that breaking up is probably not going to happen. Not on Tour incidentally created itself as a proper clean-cut, front-women hardcore punk band.
Meanwhile, the group has become a figurehead of the Tel Aviv DIY punk scene. From corner pubs to nightclubs to large concert halls like the Barby Club and Levontin, the band has taken it all in. To that end, Not On Tour have a total of three albums and an EP under their belt, they're also featured on the upcoming Vans Warp Tour compilation, alongside writing, rehearsing and constantly playing around the globe to get their unique, dance-friendly punk style out to the people.
