This year the theatre group Bühnenzauber shows a romantic fairy tale known through the ballet version. In contrast to the ballet version, our author Johannes Baertelt has written the play based on the story by E-T.A. Hoffmann and adapted it for the ensemble.
On Christmas Eve, little Marie is given a Nutcracker, which she lovingly takes care of. That night, when everyone else is asleep, the Nutcracker comes alive and fights with Marie against an army of mice led by the evil Mouse King. The Nutcracker is a cursed youth who, to redeem himself, must defeat the Mouse King and win the love of a girl. Thanks to Marie, both succeed and so she follows the disenchanted Nutcracker to his magical kingdom.
The Bühnenzauber theatre group once again invites you to experience a magical journey with the protagonists of the fairy tale.
