What stories do we tell and why? Who do we become when we are told about? In a mix of interactive experiment and play, Leonardo Moreira and his company Hiato hint at the big motifs and timeless connections that lie behind the mundane and banal, the modern and supposedly private of our own life experience. They have already been guests in Frankfurt with two extraordinary productions: in the Mousonturm with the marathon Ficções (Fictions) and previously in the Frankfurt LAB with O Jardim(The Garden). Their new work Odisseia is also based primarily on the experiences, dreams and doubts of the seven actors and actresses, who have transformed themselves into the characters from Homer's Odyssey in a way that is as wondrous as it is natural. They invite us to a four-and-a-half-hour celebration of the fact that our world is somehow still mythical. And after a rollercoaster of strong emotions - grief, anger, love - we end up asking ourselves what ghosts are around us, what dreams have disappeared from our lives, what battles we have fought. And where it is impossible for us to return.
