In his second program, Özcan Cosar takes the audience on a journey of professional self-discovery for a young man caught between two cultures, facing the all-important questions:
Where do career opportunities await when you're blessed with an extra dose of talents and interests, but stuck in the middle of "haven't tried everything yet" mode? What to do when the father hopes for family salvation through a banking career for the son? Or the buddies show the German-Turk working in the pub: "What, you would be satisfied to carry trays all your life?"
Which train do you jump on? How do you get your act together?
Özcan has "changed completely" again and again, thinks about it out loud and talks about his career path so far: from shrewd bartender to down-to-earth dental assistant (no joke!), cool DJ, ambitious sports teacher and gifted breakdancer to now multiple award-winning comedian!
Özcan Cosar - born on the Bosporus, raised on the Neckar, escaped from at least four professions - stages his biographical crossover in a multi-faceted and stunningly funny way: with pointedly told stories about his multi-trackedness and mutability, with samples of his acting talent, with acrobatic skills, bitterly wicked language wit and a lot of charm! He masters the art of changing roles at lightning speed, lovingly juxtaposes German and Turkish culture, speaks sometimes straight Swabian, sometimes multicultural slang, authentically garnished with "Wallah", "ey Alter" or "Moruk".
He caricatures yoga figures and invents his own, he nonchalantly throws around technical terms from sports medicine until the doctor bounces him. He verbalizes the acupuncture guru who turns the words "Relax!" into a battle cry. But that's not all! A highlight absolutely worth seeing is Özcan Cosar's performance to the film score "The Fabulous World of Amélie". Full of poetry and comedy at the same time, he mixes stylistic elements of classical ballet with pantomime and breakdance interludes. Practiced tolerance on the dance floor!
