The story of how the little bear and the little tiger search for happiness on earth together with the tiger duck. Their motto is, "When you have a friend, there's nothing to be afraid of!" The little bear and the little tiger are great friends. And they fear nothing because together they are terribly strong - strong as a bear and strong as a tiger. They are comfortable in their house by the river. But one day they set off in search of Panama, the land of their longing. On the way they experience many great adventures. But where is Panama? The fox, the cow, the mouse - they know nothing about it, only the crow can help them. In the end they even find what they are looking for. But is it Panama? A wonderful story, which was awarded the German Youth Literature Prize in 1979.
