"Old acquaintances" are looking forward to seeing you again - or getting to know you! You know Daniel "Dän" Dickopf, songwriter and lyricist of the Wise Guys, who disbanded in July 2017, you know Nils Olfert, who was active with the Wise Guys for almost nine years, and Björn Sterzenbach, who was the last bass player of Germany's most successful a cappella formation. But also the other two "old acquaintances" are not blank slates: Clemens Schmuck is known among others as a member of the Dutch band "Intrmzzo", and Ingo Wolfgarten has drawn attention to himself alongside Gregor Meyle, but also in various other musical projects.
These five musicians have joined forces to form a new a cappella formation and call themselves "Alte Bekannte" (old acquaintances) - and they are already scuffing their hooves to conquer the stages in the German-speaking world. A debut album is already written and should be released at the end of 2017. And then there will be the Old Acquaintances live and in color in all parts of the country from 2018. The music of the Old Acquaintances is in the tradition of the Wise Guys - a cappella pop with really good German lyrics - but also breaks away to new shores: especially the two "newcomers" Clemens and Ingo contribute with their compositions, arrangements and diverse ideas significantly to the fact that the "Old Acquaintances" are a class of their own.
