Peter Kemper uses multimedia means to illuminate the hitherto hardly explored but nevertheless intense relationship between the two musicians Bob Dylan and Jimi Hendrix, which can be more precisely grasped through a common "religion of electricity". It is as much about Hendrix's idea of an "Electric Church" as it is about Dylan's conception of "noise" and "volume". In addition to music-philosophical and -sociological reflections on the "performance practice" of the two rock heroes, Peter Kemper will present rare music examples and video excerpts to make his thesis of the "revolutionary character of controlled noise ("electric noise)" in both of them vivid.
