Canadian artist Orit Shimoni, formerly known as Little Birdie, is "one of the country's most seductive singers" {The Calgary Herald} and "one of the most lyrically effective singers" {Beatroute Magazine}. Previously a teacher and academic, Israeli / Canadian Orit (pronounced: O'reet) became a touring solo artist after two highly acclaimed albums released in Montreal. She moved to Berlin to write and record her third album, after which she decided to put all her focus on touring and recording. For almost nine years now, she has been on the road without a permanent address, living out of a suitcase.
