The Pablo Held Trio is currently one of the most important formations in European jazz. It crosses the boundaries between composition and improvisation by renouncing determinations, such as a sequence of themes or a predefined way to present them. The cohesion of the Pablo Held Trio is based on friendship and the creative will to constantly break new ground. The artistic weight and independence of the three exceptional musicians is a point of attraction for a growing circle of congenial musicians from the European and American continents, who frequently expand the trio.
With Investigations (Edition Records), the trio releases its tenth album in spring 2018. Featuring: Pablo Held (piano), Robert Landfermann (bass), Jonas Burgwinkel (drums).
