The novel Die schöni Fanny, translated into High German dialect, tells of a male friendship in a provincial Swiss town. Jackpot, an unsuccessful author, and Louis and Grunz, two acclaimed painters, enjoy the small pleasures of everyday life until an unknown woman appears in their little town. Each sees her in his own way, and consequently their friendship is put to the test, the poison of jealousy begins to take effect. With finesse, Pedro Lenz manages to make this story the subject of Jackpot's novel in progress.
