Exactly two years have passed since his successful MTV Unplugged tour when PETER MAFFAY returns to the stage in February 2020. 22 cities are on the program, from Kiel to Munich and from Cologne to Berlin are again almost all major halls. So he comes also on 18 March 2020 in the Festhalle Frankfurt.
But this time it will be loud! PETER MAFFAY and his band have recorded a rock album with new tracks, because although PETER MAFFAY celebrates his 50th stage anniversary and his 70th birthday in 2019, he does not want to repeat anything or recycle anything. "We don't look back, we focus on what's on our minds today," he says.
Germany's most successful rock musician and his band are already looking forward to the anniversary tour. "We are grateful that there were and are so many people who accompanied, challenged and motivated us, and who are still by our side," he says. "Even though it might sound a bit trite, it's true, and it can't be said often enough: the audience is the most important thing, without the audience everything is nothing."
Therefore, for PETER MAFFAY, his fans are almost like long-time friends who live further away: "You can't meet them as often as you'd like, but at the latest after one or two years you should meet again so that the connection doesn't break. The best thing is when it feels like you just left each other yesterday. Those are moments that you can't put a price on. This community means a lot to us. The anniversary we want to celebrate that extensively with an album and a tour."
