4th Fabrik Jazzfestival 2019: Critics praise Düsseldorf-based drummer Peter Weiss for his sound aesthetic and dynamism. In his latest project "The Good View" with four young musicians from NRW, he also proves his seismographic feeling for the soloist. What they all have in common, apart from their high technical skills, is an astonishing maturity, a great sense for ensemble sound and communication as well as their own compositional handwriting. Thus, apart from a few selected standards (D. Ellington, W. Engstfeld etc.), the program consists mainly of pieces by the band members.
