The "PfennigBazar" is a second-hand market with high-quality clothing, shoes, bags, toys, household goods and more. It takes place once a year on two days in the fall in Frankfurt's Dominican monastery. In 2004, the then Chairwoman and current Honorary Chairwoman of DMSG Hessen, Renate von Metzler, Susie von Verschuer-Bär (Managing Director of Spedition Fermont and board member of DMSG Hessen), Ingrid Pajunk (Frankfurt PR lady and presenter, who sadly passed away in March 2019), Alexandra Princess von Hannover (Hospizverein St. Katharina, deceased in 2015) and PfennigBazar initiator Gerhild Börsig organized this charity bazaar for the first time.
Under the motto "Dress for small money, help on a grand scale", more than 300 volunteers supported the organization team. Most of the net proceeds from the charity event will go to the DMSG Hessen.
