After the novel by Wolfgang Herrndorf in a version by Robert Koall
The gate of a psychiatric institution is open. Fourteen-year-old Isa seizes the opportunity and escapes. Barefoot, the lively young girl discovers the world and meets some interesting characters. For example, the deaf-mute boy, with whom she can mysteriously talk anyway, and the two boys at the dump, of whom she particularly likes the blond one.
Tschick connoisseurs have already encountered Isa in Maik and Tschick's Adventures. Wolfgang Herrndorf worked until his death to give the girl from the dump a story. The result is a legacy that is as bleak as it is life-affirming, the blueprint of a sad yet poetically dreamlike world.
Markolf Naujoks develops productions between installation, concert and theatre and composes songs and music for them. He has already brought Tschick to the stage with great success. Now he will also stage Wolfgang Herrndorf's unfinished outsider novel with Kristina Gorjanowa, who already played Isa in Tschick. Anthony McCarten's Superhero has already been shown in Mainz under Naujok's direction.
