"Pitanga em Pé de Amora" was born in 2008 in São Paulo from the union of five musicians, composers and arrangers. The band of Brazilian folk music, is characterized by its collective collaboration and is currently composed of the members, Angelo Ursini, Daniel Altman, Flora Poppovic e Ga Setúbal. 2014 with the album, "Pontes para si" (Bridges to H) was released a dividing line in the band's work. By its very nature, the essence of the band remains in the folk song, although at the same time pointing to other paths and influences. Produced by Latin Grammy winner, Swami Jr, the disc counts on the collaboration of various guest musicians. Among them on the track, "Ceará" are singer Monica Salmaso and flute player Teco Cardoso. Except for the two, the contributors, Lulinha Alencar (accordion), Fi Maróstica (bass guitar), Douglas Alonso (percussion), Alê Ribeiro (clarinet), Will Bone (trombone) and Shen Ribeiro (flute) bring new mixes and more weight to the arrangements of the different tracks. "Pontes para Si" (Bridges to H) is a graphic project penned by artist, André Farkas. In 2011, the band released its first CD, "Pitanga em Pé de Amora" (Cherry Myrtle on the Mulberry Stem - explanation of the name needed), one of the most intimate albums of the five original band members who worked out most of the compositions. The CD was released for download and garnered good reviews in the press and on industry trade sites. From then on a growing audience accompanied the band in full theaters such as the Auditório Ibirapuera and Sesc Pompeia. / Ibirapuera Park São Paulo and old drum factory São Paulo. The band has participated in many radio and television broadcasts and also performed alongside the well-known musician, Jair Rodrigues, † 2014, (performing the classic song, "Disparada") for the Rede Globo channel broadcasts, "Som do Brasil" and "Altas Horas" (Late Hours). Among other guest appearances In the "TV Cultura" of the state of São Paulo, the band was also still present in the programs, "Ensaio" and "Senhor Brasil".
