While Planet Of Zeus will present their fourth album "Loyal To The Pack", Lionize will promote their latest work "Nuclear Soul" at their German debut. Planet Of Zeus brings Greece's currently most successful rock band to Germany once again, where they last toured in November 2016. "Eleven The Hard Way", the debut of the quartet from Athens, was released in 2008 and not only wowed the critics, even Iron Maiden singer Bruce Dickinson immediately invites them to his radio show. With a new deal and the second album "Macho Libre" they established themselves in Europe in 2011, where they have been touring regularly ever since. With the third album "Vigilante" and the "Lord Of The Riffs Vol. 2" tour through the UK, in which Lionize also participate, they set further accents and cement their status as figureheads of the Greek rock and metal scene. With "Loyal To The Pack" their fourth opus is released in 2016, critics across Europe agree that PoZ, as they are called by their fans, have a long career ahead of them as their musical horizons have expanded. A support tour with Clutch as well as a UK tour with Grand Magus will follow, before they also show up in German clubs in November 2016. Planet Of Zeus are currently working on their fifth album, which should be ready for the joint headlining tour with Lionize in April/May 2018.
For the American rock band Lionize from Maryland, the upcoming tour is a premiere here in Germany. Their first foray into Germany should be a treat for fans of rock music without musical boundaries. For Lionize could well be described as a successful mixture of Clutch, Deep Purple, Parliament Funkadelic and Bad Brains, in short they combine classic rock with punk, soul and reggae jams. For over ten years, the band from the circle of stoner rock icons Clutch has been one of the most exciting pioneers in innovative rock music. The four members have known each other since high school, and within a year they had a record deal. By 2006, they were already touring and playing with bands as diverse as Steel Pulse, The Wailers, Yellowman, Groundation, Israel Vibration, State Radio, Fuel, Hoobastank, Jimmie's Chicken Shack, The Pietasters and Concrete Blonde. This crossover concept runs through all the tours. Lionize, for example, are the only band to have ever played both Bonnaroo Festival and the Vans Warped Tour in the same summer. With their latest, fifth album, Nuclear Soul, released in September 2017, they've further cemented their reputation as a band without fear of contact.
