The hottest and most successful German musicians perform their well-known hits and new songs at the big "POP IM PARK" open air in Frankfurt: "We have gathered energy in the last two and a half years," says Daniel Grunenberg of Glasperlenspiel. The chart-topping electropop duo is bringing "new material, new songs" to Frankfurt and is especially looking forward to "finally being on stage again. We are looking forward to celebrating a bit of normality with the fans."
On Saturday, July 16, musicians known from the radio and from concerts will once again take the stage live at POP IM PARK. Coming to Deutsche Bank Park are the band Revolverheld, singer-songwriters Johannes Oerding (host of the current "Sing mein Song" season on Vox) and Joris, the duo Glasperlenspiel, newcomer Mathea, ESC participant Michael Schulte and special guest Mia Weber. The German pop acts promise a wide musical range at the new POP IM PARK event format: from rocking to casual and charming, with urban German pop with flow and beats to danceable electropop. The lyrics are sometimes cheerful, sometimes melancholic, always original, authentic and "handmade".
"Yes, this will be a mix of old and new - there will also be one or the other live premiere. And who knows, maybe we'll even play something that hasn't been released yet," reveals Jakob Sinn from Revolverheld. And that the musicians of Revolverheld are true friends of open airs can always be seen when you see them on stage. Exuberant, in the best mood to play and with an incredible dose of humor, they inspire their audience again and again.
With pop hits, which she produced in part together with Mark Smith, who has also worked with Johannes Oerding, Mia Weber comes to Frankfurt: "I'm especially looking forward to the performance in this wonderful stadium." With her lyrics, she wants to "inspire women to take their lives into their own hands when they think they are missing something or are not happy."
The concert will be an extraordinary "home game" for Michael Schulte, whose career was given a decisive boost by his participation in the TV casting show "The Voice of Germany": with his family, he lived briefly in Frankfurt in his youth, has been an ardent Eintracht Frankfurt fan ever since and is very happy to come to the city - and on 16. It's going to be a spectacle - I'm really looking forward to it. It will be a special concert," promises Michael Schulte, who will also present new songs. His tour, which has been postponed several times because of the pandemic, will then start in the fall.
POP IM PARK will bring together artists for an incomparable open-air concert experience on July 16 on a single evening. Evren Gezer and Daniel Fischer of Hit Radio FFH will lead through the live event, which will last over five hours.
