In a loving production, THE PICTURE BOOK THEATRE presents this very educational story for children, based on an old Russian fairy tale.
Little Masha lives in the forest with her friend, the bear. On a beautiful day, it is the bear's birthday. Of course, Mascha wants to bake him a birthday cake for this day. But as usual, Mascha is quite absent-minded and gets things mixed up in her somewhat chaotic way of working.
First she forgets the eggs for once, before another mishap happens to her: She accidentally takes a hen's egg, which is soon to hatch into a baby chick, with the nervously waiting rooster and his hen dying to finally become parents.
But it's not just the chickens who are horrified by Mascha's behavior; the greedy prowling fox doesn't like it at all that Mascha needs all the eggs to bake. But sneaky as he is, he already has a plan.
In this whole mess, the ravenous house shine devours the birthday cake for the bear.
