On 25. September 2016 for the 17th time in Frankfurt am Main:
5 km running or 2 km walking for the benefit of maintaining breast health and finding a cure for breast cancer, again under the motto: Für's Leben gern laufen.
Every year, several thousand runners take part in the Race for Survival - known as Race for the Cure until 2015.
Traditionally, many celebrities such as.Heike Drechsler, Nicole and Lothar Leder, who want to show their solidarity and help to raise funds for the preservation of breast health and for the cure of breast cancer.
800 runners participated in the first KOMEN Race for the Cure® in Dallas, Texas, 17 years ago. In 2015, more than 1.6 million people in over 140 cities participated in this largest series of 5-km running events in the world, also showing their commitment. The German branch of the sponsoring association Susan G. Komen e.V. renamed itself "Aktion Pink Deutschland e.V." in 2016.
