The Ramstein Air Base is the gateway to Europe for American soldiers. The airfield forms the central hub for troop and material transports of the US armed forces, but Ramstein is also essential for the American drone program. A young human rights lawyer who grew up near this air base tries to find out what role Ramstein really plays in this and who is responsible for the drone launches.
With Ramstein Airbase: Game of Drones, house director Jan-Christoph Gockel has continued his theatrical exploration of the topic of global surveillance. The production was invited to the 2016 Author's Theatre Days at the Deutsches Theater Berlin.
