Neon Summer Tour
With his latest hit album "Neon" Rea Garvey put himself in the right light. More than 100,000 enthusiastic fans saw the most extensive arena tour of his amazing career in autumn 2018. In summer 2019, the Germany-based Irishman and his band will present their live show at selected open air venues.
The "Irishman in Berlin" strikes different notes again with his fourth studio album, although he remains true to himself. According to the artist, beats and sounds create an "urban/streetlike" atmosphere that had not been the focus before. Of course, fans can also look forward to hits from the three previous solo CDs, all Top 5 chart successes that sold more than a million copies.
The result is passionate songs written with both head and heart, evocative yet full of optimism. "Prisma" achieved the highest chart position of any Rea Garvey album to date. On "Pride", Rea Garvey had reflected on memories, traditions, folklore and literature of his homeland. Autobiographical anecdotes found expression, as did a trip to Iceland.
The step from band project to solo career Rea Garvey had already successfully completed with his first solo album "Can't Stand The Silence". Here he once again demonstrated his ability to constantly renew himself creatively. His absolute sense of melody, rhythm and rhyme, his narrative talent and the accuracy of the songs were enthusiastically received. Partly because they drew on past experiences and sensibilities, but condensed them stylistically.
Rea Garvey has always sought and found challenges. Whether working with artists such as Nelly Furtado, Apocalyptica, In Extremo, Paul van Dyk or as a true entertainer on Alive & Swingin', where he joins Xavier Naidoo, Sasha andMichael Mittermeier to bring the spirit of the legendary Rat Pack to life in Las Vegas.
He lent credible impetus to the four seasons of the talent show "The Voice of Germany". He also took center stage during the final live cycle of "Sing meinen Song". The sold-out "Neon-"Arena tour set new standards and was celebrated by audience and media alike.
