With "Neon" Rea Garvey puts his new album and his next arena tour in a special light. From September 10 to October 4, the Germany-based Irishman will present his rousing live show in 18 cities. Cologne, Stuttgart, Mannheim, Erfurt, Rostock, Bielefeld, Leipzig, Hanover, Würzburg, Freiburg, Munich, Frankfurt, Oberhausen, Berlin, Hamburg, Ulm, Zurich and Vienna are the stops on the "Neon" tour, the most extensive in Rea Garvey's amazing career.
The "Irishman in Berlin" strikes different notes again with his fourth studio album, although he remains true to himself. According to the artist, beats and sounds create an "urban/streetlike" atmosphere, which had not been in focus before. Of course, fans can also look forward to hits from the three previous solo CDs, all Top 5 chart successes that sold more than a million copies.
The previous CD, Prisma, was all about protest. Following a long musical tradition, Rea Garvey took a critical look at his environment. This resulted in passionate songs written with head and heart, stirring, yet full of optimism. Prisma achieved the highest chart position of any Rea Garvey album to date.
On "Pride", Rea Garvey had reflected on memories, traditions, folklore and literature of his homeland. Autobiographical anecdotes found expression as well as a trip to Iceland.
The step from band project to solo career Rea Garvey had already successfully completed with his first solo album "Can't Stand The Silence". Here he once again demonstrated his ability to always creatively renew himself. His absolute sense for melody, rhythm and rhyme, his narrative talent and the accuracy of the songs were enthusiastically received. Partly because they drew on past experiences and sensibilities, but condensed them stylistically.
Rea Garvey has always sought and found challenges. Whether collaborating with artists like Nelly Furtado, Apocalyptica, In Extremo, Paul van Dyk or as a true entertainer on Alive & Swingin', where he joined Xavier Naidoo, Sasha and Michael Mittermeier to bring the spirit of the legendary Rat Pack to life in Las Vegas. He lent credible impetus to the four seasons of the talent show "The Voice of Germany". He will also take center stage on the new 2018 live cycle of "Sing meinen Song."
More than 250,000 fans saw the last sold-out "Get Loud" open air tour, which was "loudly" celebrated by audiences and media alike. Rea Garvey and his brilliant band are taking that euphoria with them on their upcoming 2018 tour adventure, which will shine a new light on his stylistically diverse and enthralling song canon.
