Red Bull Flying Illusion, goes into the next round and comes back to Germany after a successful European tour: From April to May 2017, the four-time breakdance world champions show their revolutionary urban dance show in Munich, Frankfurt, Berlin, Hamburg and Stuttgart. The presale for the Flying Steps' biggest stage show will open on November 2, 2016, tickets are available at redbullflyingillusion.com.
Breathtaking breakdance meets impressive illusions, seemingly impossible moves meet fantastic productions. In the process, the boundaries of dancing ability are magically suspended. This is what makes Red Bull Flying Illusion an extraordinary spectacle and a fascinating show. Vartan Bassil is looking forward to the upcoming home performance of his big arena show: "It was great to travel with Red Bull Flying Illusion to other European countries and to see how enthusiastic the audience is about our show there as well. But now it's time to return to Germany, where it all began. I'm looking forward to seeing all our friends and fans again!"
Twelve of the best dancers in the world - selected from all areas of urban dance - meet on stage, embedded in the story of the eternal battle between good and evil. The "Flying Heroes" compete against the "Dark Illusions", the light of love against total darkness. With power moves, popping, locking and hip hop the dancers fight against the laws of gravity and imagination. The soundtrack is by Berlin composers and producers Ketan and Vivan Bhatti. Powerful, electronically generated hip-hop beats mingle with the recordings of a 34-piece symphony orchestra. The set design was created by Jeremias Böttcher and features elaborate 3D projections in collaboration with Berlin-based artist collective Pfadfinderei.
Red Bull Flying Illusion, the follow-up to Red Bull Flying Bach, both ideas by Flying Steps founder and creative mind Vartan Bassil, had its acclaimed world premiere in Berlin in 2014. From here, the show toured Europe including France, Belgium, Sweden and Switzerland, where it received a Sold Out Award. To date, over 90,000 enthusiastic audience members have experienced the show. In April and May 2017, the dance spectacle will be back in Germany in an even bigger guise and with an expanded cast whose skills range from amazing to "doesn't really work at all."
