Mobility and housing are the central challenges facing the Frankfurt Rhine-Main Metropolitan Region. In the housing market, prices are rising faster than building land can be activated. The transport infrastructure is reaching its limits. RHEIN-MAIN - DIE REGION LEBEN puts mobility and living in relation to each other - after all, the region lives from the accessibility of its towns and the diversity of its residential offerings. How (residential) locations are linked with each other shapes their image. The region is highly dynamic and differs fundamentally from the ideal image of an idyllic landscape.
The exhibition sketches future images of a region that accepts its specific challenges and seizes its opportunities - that uses new technologies, that takes an integrated approach to development, and that uses exemplary projects from Germany and abroad as models. The scenarios presented show possible perspectives and whet the appetite for shaping this future! This is the only way to open the way to a future in which people live the region.
