The light art festival rheinleuchten lets the newly designed nature and landscape park on the Loreley shine in new splendour. The new Loreley Park is ceremoniously illuminated in its full size and allows visitors to immerse themselves in a wondrous world of light. Legendary sounds accompany the play of light and reflect the myth of the Loreley. The wondrous landscape comes to life and casts a spell over everyone who can feel the magic of this unique place. During the rheinleuchtens, the park shows a completely new, previously unknown side and puts the experience of the spectacular natural space in focus.
But also the still following construction measures in the park will be thematized. For example, the old gymnastics and youth hostel, which will be converted into an entrance building in the coming months, will be highlighted with lights and will hold a gastronomic offer for visitors. The new Mythenraum, which can be reached from the Strahlenweg, is currently still under construction. Nevertheless, visitors will be given a first glimpse and a light show will offer a foretaste of its later use as an exhibition space all about the myth of the Loreley.
For medieval fans, it is also worth arriving earlier, because from 20-22 April, the medieval spectacle with jousting tournament will take place on the Loreley. So visitors can spend an exciting and varied day on the Loreley.
Parking can be found on the Loreley Plateau around the visitor centre. During the day you have to pay a parking fee, in the evening after 8 pm you can park for free. The ferry Loreley runs during the rheinleuchten until 24 o'clock. In addition, a shuttle bus will shuttle between the ferry dock and the Loreley Plateau from 20:30 to 23:30 on all game days.
