When French chord master Richard Galliano is on stage, his fingers swirl across the keyboard with acrobatic ease, making the instrument weep in melancholy or jubilate with joy. Ron Carter has enriched countless legendary jazz recordings with his unique bass playing. Richard Galliano is considered the "discoverer of the accordion in jazz" making him one of the most famous accordionists in the world. The French jazz virtuoso also invented the "New Musette" style of music, gaining international recognition to this day. Galliano has been playing consistently around 80 concerts a year. Each season, he joins many of the most prestigious concert halls and the world's most important jazz/world and classical festivals. Ron Carter has enriched countless legendary recordings of jazz with his unique bass playing; he can be heard on more than 2,000(!) recordings, has been invited into the studio by Miles Davis, Archie Shepp, Herbie Hancock and Antonio Carlos Jobim, among others. Carter can now look back on a career of more than 50 years at the forefront of world jazz. In 1990, Richard Galliano and Ron Carter recorded their critically acclaimed album "Panamanhattan" in Paris: A Collection of Intimate Musical Conversations, distinguished by subtle nuances and subtle, dance-like elegance. The two exceptional jazz musicians now present this extraordinary duo programme at one of their rare joint concerts at the Frankfurter Hof.
