With his debut album "All These Nights In Bars Will Somehow Save My Soul" Rob Lynch first made himself heard in this country in 2013: he opened Thees Uhlmann's tour, then played numerous tours of his own through Germany with sold-out shows in Hamburg, Berlin and Cologne. He spent an entire summer playing his way through the USA with the Vans Warped Tour, as well as appearing on the stages of festivals such as Deichbrand, Groezrock and Highfield. On all these trips he collected the material for "Baby, I'm A Runaway".
The album was again produced by Sam Duckworth (aka Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly.), this time working closely with Rob's backing band, resulting in the album's audibly denser sound. Whereas on "All These Nights." the Stamford native dealt extensively with the untimely death of his father, the new album is lyrically and musically more positive. He sings of gratitude for being able to make a living as a touring musician and what his new life has done to people from "before". Of course, his songs remain serious at all times - but they are inspired by the joy of knowing that the idea of becoming a musician somehow worked out. Working for a dream.
