The "Entertainer" - Robbie Williams - is back and comes with a new album in the luggage on 19 July 2017 in the Commerzbank Arena Frankfurt.
There is probably only one pop star who can call his album without batting an eyelid "The Heavy Entertainment Show". We're talking about Robbie Williams, who has made it from ex-Take Thats member to one of the most successful solo artists in the world. To date, Robbie Williams has sold more than seventy million albums. In the top 100 best-selling albums in British music history, six are by him. Fourteen of his songs reached number one in the UK Singles Chart.
His concerts were already a "Heavy Entertainment Show" before he called his new album that. The three shows at Knebworth alone, captured on DVD in front of a crowd of more than 375,000, are an impressive testament to his charisma, wit and skill.
For a long time we had to do without it, but now Robbie Williams will be heading back to stadiums and arenas to start his gigantic charm offensive all over again. The occasion is said new album, which was released on November 4th. The first single "Party Like A Russian" was already a good foretaste! The same goes for the strong "Motherfucker", which seems to be written for arenas. He proves his good hand for big ballads with "David's Song" and "Love My Life". Those who rather long for Robbie's hip swing will surely experience it on "Sensitive"and "Pretty Woman", two songs that show him as funky and lascivious as he once was on "Rock DJ".
With such a strong album behind him and hits like "Angels" or "Feel" on the setlist, his five German shows will thus truly carry the name "Heavy Entertainment Show" with dignity.
On the German tour, Robbie Williams will be joined by Erasure.
