Rock meets Classic's 10th anniversary tour starts in Passau on 27.02.2019. But even before the first note has sounded, organizer Manfred Hertlein is already pleased to announce the continuation of the successful concert series and to announce the first highlights of the 2020 tour.
Look forward to the superact ALICE COOPER with the Rock meets Classic Ensemble! The shock rocker, who has long since become a cult figure with legend status, will be the headliner of the RmC Tour 2020. The possible selection of his hits is gigantic and ranges from "School's Out" or "I`m 18" to "Poison" or "House Of Fire". Which songs ALICE COOPER will perform at RmC next year will of course not be revealed today. One thing is certain: "Alice really wanted to be on stage with us again after the acclaimed guest performances in 2014," explains Mat Sinner, RmC's musical director. "And we wanted him back at least as much, because Alice is totally iconic and will be celebrating his 50th anniversary on stage with us in 2020, which we're especially proud of!" Mr. Cooper is bringing along his guitarist Tommy Henriksen in 2020, who also joins him in the Hollywood Vampires, Cooper's band project with actor Johnny Depp!
Besides Alice Cooper, Rock meets Classic fans can already look forward to Joyce "Baby Jean" Kennedy, the lead singer of the funk-rock-soul band Mother's Finest, who became abruptly known in Germany (and Europe) through their unforgettable live performance at the WDR "Rockpalast" in 1978. Mega-hits like "Baby Love" or "Mickey's Monkey" still belong to the highlights of every concert of the US rock band.
The British rock legends THUNDER, who regularly enter the Top 10 with their album releases in their home country after their reunion in 2011 and also made it to No. 24 in Germany with "Rip It Up" in 2017, will provide the brilliant start in 2020. Connoisseurs know that THUNDER have been among the best rock live acts in the world since 1989 to this day. Which is mainly due to the charismatic singer Danny Bowes, the fantastic riffs of guitarist Luke Morley and great hits like "Low Life in High Places" or "Back Street Symphony".
