Klezmer sounds in the picturesque courtyard of the factory in Sachsenhausen. This is on the program today with a concert by Jewish musician Roman Kuperschmidt. It is the direct experience of Jewish music in the true sense of the meaning of the word klezmer, - "melody instrument". His clarinet becomes the living soulful embodiment of melody. He plays around it until it begins to flow, tenderly and gently opening the music, revealing it in its subtle beauty. With his quartet he takes us into the Jewish-European sound world full of warmth, melancholy, tenderness and joie de vivre, sensual and spiritual at the same time. Roman Kuperschmidt (cl), Nicholas Baldock (kb), Elik Roitstein (acc), Alik Texler (acc).
