Italian artist Romeo Castellucci, one of the most important artists of our time, transports us into a visually powerful world. In 2013, the Venice Biennale honored him for his life's work. He has the ability to create "a new language for the stage that interweaves theatre, music and sculpture." The Parthenon Metopes is a sophisticated play about art and reality that calls up the great questions of humanity: where do we come from, where are we going? In the beginning, there is the moment of horror. An accident has occurred, or rather, an incident. What exactly has happened remains nebulous. We see a person in pain. Seconds stretch into eternity until help rushes in. Castellucci makes us watch the suffering of others. We are transported to a parallel world to look upon our own world - and find it changed. Tickets are only inclusive of the bus shuttle - you cannot get there without it. No box office on site. The times mentioned on the ticket are departure times, not the beginning of the performance. Meeting point: Mousonturm!
