Literally out of nowhere, the three-piece formation Rüfüs Du Sol appeared on Australian radio as well as in the country's hottest clubs in 2012 - only to launch a world career from there. As the success of their current, third album "Solace" proves, which climbed to number 2 in the Australian charts. With that, Rüfüs Du Sol are coming to Berlin, Cologne, Hamburg and Frankfurt for four concerts between October 18 and 22.
Tyrone Lindqvist (vocals, guitar), Jon George (keyboards) and James Hunt (drums) originally came from other genres; but found their common interest in contemporary club music, which they charged with lead vocals and pop-music structures from the start. Initially releasing an EP each on their self-founded label Monekeleon in 2011 as well as 2012, they toured their native Australia for the first time, during which they manifested their reputation as a compellingly intense live band.
Despite major deals, Rüfüs Du Sol continued to go all DIY in the production of their debut album "Atlas", recording the tracks in two studios they built themselves. The album climbed to the top of the Australian charts and became an exceptional insider tip in the USA, Asia and Western Europe. With over 220,000 Facebook fans, over 100 million Spotify plays and numerous awards, Rüfüs Du Sol have now placed themselves firmly on the map of international club acts.
