Born in 1984 and living in Berlin, Maren Kames won the 21st Open Mike in 2013. In her debut collection Halb Taube halb Pfau (Secession Verlag, 2016), she incorporates sound collages that can be accessed using modern mobile phone devices. She often stages her texts in an expansive manner, most recently as part of an audiovisual exhibition at the Literaturhaus Stuttgart. Born in Wuppertal in 1971, Thorsten Krämer's literary work has earned him the Rolf Dieter Brinkmann Scholarship from the city of Cologne, among other awards. In his most recently published volume The Democratic Forest (Brueterich Press, 2016), Krämer chose photographs by William Eggleston as the locations for his poems and travels through Eggleston's extensive works. In doing so, he poses the question, "How do poets travel, how do photographers?" Tobias Schmitt will enhance the evening with his electronic soundscapes.
