Lena has bought a house with her boyfriend Kurt. It seems like her biggest challenge is getting used to the new family circumstances, to the fact that Brandenburg is now supposed to be home. But when Kurt's young son dies in a fall, they are left with three adults who must relearn how to live. Sarah Kuttner tells of an ordinary complicated family, of what holds them together when the worst happens. She portrays this tragedy directly and lightly and at the same time with a deep seriousness, as only Sarah Kuttner can. A declaration of love for those who have gone and those who remain.
