Queer visions for living together with artificial intelligences. In the mid-1980s, Donna Haraway predicted that hybrid beings - cyborgs - would overcome sexism and racism. Today, we see Siri and Alexa as everyday artificial assistants still relegated to "care work" while their counterparts with male voices are deployed in the medical and financial fields. Time for a reboot: artificial intelligences, genderfluid robots, and (humanoid) dancers of color team up to create their own scenarios for cross-species coexistence.
A production by Olivia Hyunsin Kim/ddanddarakim. The play premiered at Sophiensaele Berlin in September and will be shown in Korea in early October before it now premieres here in Frankfurt in November.
