Literary quartet without quota pressure and remote control. Four critics discuss new novels.
Here the audience sits in the middle. In the 35th edition of "Schöne Aussichten", hr2 literature editor Alf Mentzer, critic Mara Delius (Literarische Welt) and literary critic Hubert Spiegel (F.A.Z.) argue and arbitrate with guest critic Saša Stanišic. Stanišic moved to Germany as a fourteen-year-old during the Bosnian War, which he addressed in his debut novel "Wie der Soldat das Grammofon repariert" ("How the Soldier Repairs the Gramophone"). He has already won several prizes for his novels and short stories, such as the 2014 Leipzig Book Fair Prize. Stanišic most recently published the short story collection "Fallensteller", available from Luchterhand Verlag. "Herztier" by Herta Müller will be subjected to the legendary shelf life test.
