The Long Night of the Adult Education Centres on 20 September 2019 is part of the nationwide anniversary programme marking the 100th anniversary of the German Adult Education Centres. It kicks off an autumn/winter semester under the motto "to live together. to keep together".
We want to toast to this on this evening and also - in keeping with the semester theme - set an example for openness, diversity and cohesion. The focus of the evening is the Science Slam in the Stadthalle.
Five young scientists from different disciplines will talk about their research results in a way that everyone understands and has a lot of fun. Because that's the idea of a science slam: serious science meets stage performance, animal seriousness meets beery humor.
Do you like poetry slams? Are you curious and interested in current research? Do you like to see scientists* who don't always take themselves seriously, but can present their research with a wink? Then come to the Stadthalle Hofheim to experience this event of young scientists* on the magnificent stage.

Admission: 18.30 Uhr
Following this (approx. 21.30 clock) takes place in the rooms of the Adult Education Center Main-Taunus-Kreis (Pfarrgasse 38, Hofheim) a party for vhs & friends to celebrate the 100-year vhs anniversary.
