They were spectacular in the seventies and were considered the successors of the legendary band Free, who went down in music history with their worldwide hit "Alright Now".
Unfortunately, Andy Fraser will not be able to live to see the revival of the Sharks as he has passed away in the meantime.
Steve Parsons aka Snips and Chris Spedding as original founding members are reason enough to get euphoric though. After all, they are each as legendary as they are famous.
Snips with his unmistakable voice that has already shaped the Baker-Gurvitz-Army and Chris Spedding who to this day travels the world with Brian Ferry and Roxy Music. His unique guitar playing can be heard on as many as 200 albums by various artists.
Now together they have revived the Sharks and also recorded a new album right away. "Killers of the deep" has already received overwhelming reviews and seamlessly picks up where the power rock 'n roll of the old Sharks left off.
Now they are coming out on tour for a few shows and will certainly be performing some well known Chris Spedding material.
"Motor bikin'" and "Guitar Jamboure" can be expected to be included.
