The story of the duo Sheena & Michael begins in December 2014 at the Christmas market in a small village in Spessart. Guitarist and songwriter Michael Scheuber had lost the desire to make music after some chart successes with his bands Creme 21 (Wann wird's mal wieder richtig Sommer) and Chelsea (Jennifer Adams). Until he heard the singer Sheena Rice, who comes from County Clare in Ireland, sing "The Fairytale of New York" at the Christmas market that evening. He was taken with the Celtic timbre of that particular voice. A few Irish Whiskeys later they decided to meet in Sheena's kitchen the next day to play a few songs. And so the first sensitive arrangements of Irish traditionals and slowed-down versions of classics like Bruce Springsteen's "Dancing in the Dark" were born.
