"'Oh Oh' was a kind of trigger for this album," the band explains. "When the song was finished, we felt that we could and should focus on the energy and the feeling. We wanted to get back to our roots, our cohesion and our kind of craft. We reminded ourselves that we are a band that likes each other and really enjoys playing together. The rest is pretty irrelevant to us." The band's last album to date, "Optica" was released in 2013 and - like its predecessor "Work" in 2010 - managed to place in the Official German Album Charts. The musicians used the band break, among other things, to start a family and to realize various solo and side projects. Singer Adam Olenius released a solo EP, keyboardist/vocalist Bebban Stenborg released an album with her band Astropol and bassist Ted Malmros recorded music with his duo A Nighthawk. At some point, however, the time came to kickstart Shout Out Louds once again. Most of the new album was recorded in a small basement studio in Stockholm with producer Fredrik Swahn. He is a member of the band The Amazing and recently worked with French artist Melody's Echo Chamber. "Working with Fredrik gave us great energy and made us better as a band," says the Shout Out Louds.
"He even managed to make us better friends now than before, I don't know how that was even possible anymore. We had great fun and got back to the core of what we were about at the same time. 'Oh Oh' is about
maintaining that feeling: never losing sight of your dream."
