After a year's hiatus from fatherhood, the Thing, winner of the 2018 Bavarian Culture Award, is at it again. It has been on tour with Lemur (Kreismusik), rocked festivals with Faber and Maeckes and conquered the north with Tequila and the Sunrise Gang. And now, now there is finally new music again. "In the broadest sense hip hop as you rarely find it: spun and cleverly lyricized (as by Käptn Peng), and dense yet light in sound" opined the Süddeutsche Zeitung and so on the EP "Expedition I" the Ding ausm Sumpf will again juggle words about the abysses within us to catchy but exciting music, only this time even louder and more demanding.
The EP was presented on the Expedition Tour 2019, which started successfully in Augsburg and Munich in rappelvollem Ambiente. To accompany the EP, there is then also a small sensation for all fans: one of the outstanding contemporary landscape painters, Sven Kroner, has contributed an art print for "Expedition I" in a limited edition of 300 pieces. As the name suggests, there will also be an Expedition II, which is already in production and will be released in the second half of 2019.
Local support will be provided by Ponyhof regular Simeon who will join DJ Steez and Philip Kressin to perform his new single TABULA RASA and the upcoming album.
